Making a new brand for emerging designer-makers
Look Like Love specialise in supporting and promoting graduate and emerging designer-makers, as well as providing an initial platform to sell their work through an online shop, pop-ups and hosted events. The aim is to help nurture new talent, while making a curated collection of high quality, handcrafted, limited edition products more available and more affordable to a wider audience.
Since launch the business had grown steadily, but the original identity had started to show its age and had fallen behind the aspirations of the brand.

We knew that the new identity needed the sophistication, strength and craft to support the quality of the service, products and designers it represents.
Drawing on the alliteration of the three word name we created a paired-back monogram, with the final L adding just a little touch of love. The graphic simplicity of the symbol echoes that of traditional maker’s marks, reflecting the brand’s craft-led ethos.
A contemporary classic
The identity system reflects the exclusivity and quality of the designs, while being strong enough to give the products the room and space to shine. Minimal use of colour, an emphasis on photography, and restrained layouts with classic typography provides a clean, refined and flexible visual system.
